Jesus has you on His heart. He began His earthly ministry expressing compassion and hope for people affected by pain, loss, and trauma. In Luke 4, Jesus went into the synagogue, stood up with the scroll, and read: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor… Today this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing.” (Luke 4:18, 19, 21b, ESV)

Abuse and trauma are subjects for which I hold a special passion to encourage, empower, and educate women regarding. As a trauma-trained abuse survivor, I have personal insights into how to identify abuse, how to heal from abuse and trauma, and how to support a friend who is experiencing abuse or trauma.

I would be honored to speak to your group, large (the more the merrier!) or small; I have decades of experience as a retreat speaker, large group educator, and small group leader (references available). I find joy in taking concepts that may seem complicated and explaining them in accessible, relevant, and practical ways. I'd love to share on any of the topics listed below and truly on most any mental health or Biblical topic that would help your group take steps forward in their lives. If it would apply to your group of women, it will apply to my life as well, so let's dig in and grow together!

Additionally, I have been a GED educator for six years. It is a privilege to come alongside adults and help them earn their high school diplomas. My students are amazing, resilient people who want to change the trajectory of their lives and their family members' lives.  I believe trauma is often what got in the way of individuals completing high school, and it is often what keeps them from going back for their GED or being successful in that pursuit. A passion of mine is to speak on trauma-informed instruction to groups of educators. A trauma-informed approach fills in the gaps and makes the difference! As a workshop presenter or a keynote speaker, I find great joy in presenting research-based best practices for a 360 degree approach that factors a student's whole life into our educational approach. It's easier than you think and more successful than you can imagine! Warning: it will positively change the educator's life as well!

As a trauma-trained mental health coach I offer a personalized approach to each individual. Just as every person’s life and experiences are different, so too is every person’s healing journey unique to them. Our painful experiences affect our mind, will, emotions, and body, so living out the expansiveness of the abundant life requires growth in each of those areas. I help clients process their past and present circumstances and move to greater freedom and wholeness. All appointments are online via Zoom.
